Job Description
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
To provide friendly, courteous and professional service to guests in the hotel’s food and beverage outlets including but not limited to the Restaurant, the Bar, and In Room Dining while maintaining high level of service as per Langham Hospitality Group and Forbes standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES:
- Meet and greet guests as they arrive and depart, offer choice of seating, then escort them to their table and present menu.
- Maintain proper set-up of the dining room.
- Answer telephone inquiries and have appropriate knowledge of the hotel’s feature to provide necessary information to guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and standard presentation of all menus.
- Receive, record, and make any necessary arrangements for reservations and special functions in the restaurant.
- In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the hotel.
- Maintain an open line of communication between guests, management and line associates.
- Report duty as scheduled by direct supervisor according to operating hours.
- Provide maximum levels of guest service while maintaining Langham Hospitality Group standards.
- Be fully versed in all Forbes service standards.
- Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
