Position at NKS
Merged Forced, Castle Metals and Banner Industries are looking for a Branch Quality Specialist for the NKS site in Des Plaines, IL.

PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for supporting, monitoring, maintaining and administering the quality management processes for assigned locations, which would include auditing, data analysis, and process improvement of the Quality Systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (performs other duties as assigned):
Maintains various components of local quality program related to data analysis, systems evaluations, and product assessment.
Documents quality issues and performance measures for leadership review. Recommends new methods and processes.
Performs audits and evaluation of workflow, work methods, and procedures on an ongoing basis and initiates corrective action and process improvements where appropriate.
Manages and maintain the Quality Process / Quality System assigned site(s).
Acts as local quality representative and provides support for compliance audits.
Serves as a quality resource for the location(s) during internal audits of AS and ISO.
Coordinates and responds to customer quality problems and audits. Maintains customer approvals for the location - supports and implements requirements.
Acts as a facilitator for problem solving, corrective action, and quality initiatives. Communicates findings to both internal and external customers.
Maintains records and reports on the status of the Quality Process for all departments and/or locations.
Assures that employees receive required quality or other training as assigned.
Provides product technical and product quality control support.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED
Two years of progressive quality system and customer quality systems experience
Understanding of AS9100 and ISO9001 requirements
Advanced verbal and written communication skills
Leadership skills
Advanced computer skills including knowledge of Oracle Systems, BI / SQL Tools, MS Office Suite, Microsoft Excel, Visio, and Microsoft Project
Knowledge and experience with monitoring and measurement tools
Ability to think analytically and solve problems
Able to interpret drawings and specifications

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:
General office environment (keyboard, mouse, telephone use)
Manual dexterity (grasp, hand/wrist movement)
Stand, walk, stoop, bend, reach
Push/pull
Light lifting (25lbs or less)
Exposure to powered industrial equipment
Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to training plan
