Job Description
Prepare sketches of ideas, detailed drawings, illustrations, artwork, and blueprints for customer and internal product designs, utilizing 3D software, including Rhinoceros 3D, Solidworks, and Alias. Confer with engineering, marketing, production and customers to establish and evaluate design concepts for manufactured products. Modify and refine designs, using working models, to conform to customer specifications, production limitations and changes in design trends. Evaluate feasibility of design ideas, based on appearance, safety, function, serviceability, budget, production costs/methods and market characteristics. Present designs and reports to customers for approval, and discuss need for modification. Participate in new product planning and market research, including studying the potential need for new products.
