Target hiring range for this position will be between $16.55-$20.69 per hour. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Job Summary:
This position works as part of the Mobile Toolbox project, an NIH funded inititive to develop and support a mobile phone-based cognitive assessment platform.
This includes preparation of materials needed for quality control supporting future data acquisition, such as development of and ensuring data compliance with appropriate infrastructure. As part of this role, the candidate will attend research meetings, organize training events, monitor site's compliancy with study protocols and participate in the development of digital assessments (from support materials to quality assurance testing).The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail, a good communicator, and be able to juggle multiple requests at once.
Please note: Supervisor provides objectives, detailed deadlines and general instructions.Work is reviewed for technical accuracy and compliance with instructions, practice, policy and procedures.EE meets frequently with supervisor to obtain instructions regarding general phases of work and in some cases as to specific details.
Specific Responsibilities:
Technical
Recruits study participants.
Reviews & obtains informed consent.
Schedules study visits with participants.
Conducts interviews.
Scores test results.
Collects survey data.
Reviews medical records.
Consults with nurses & physicians to determine pretreatment & eligibility requirements of protocol from completion to registration of participants.
Facilitates communication with key personnel & participants to maintain project study flow.
Administration
Maintains detailed records of results which may include collecting, extracting & entering data; &/or preparing basic charts & graphs.
Performs scientific literature searches in support of research.
Completes portions of grant applications &/or documents associated with current local, state, & federal regulatory guidelines, requirements, laws & research protocols.
Finance
May process reimbursements for travel expenses.
Monitors & distribute petty cash.
Processes invoices &/or purchase requisitions.
Coordinates fund distribution among multiple sponsors and clinical sites.
Supervision
May train other research staff to interview/test participants.
Miscellaneous
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in a major such as social or health science or related; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
Must complete NU's IRB CITI training before interacting with any participants & must re-certify every 3 years.
Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities.)
Able to effectively use MS office suite of products particularly MS Word and Excel
Able to effectively communicate in English both written and verbal skills
Able to prepare/organize meetings and prepare presentations for training events (e.g., in person trainings, webinars)
Organized and experienced in managing time and multiple projects at once
Willingness to take on new tasks and expand skill sets.
A keen attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in behavioral/mental health research or a clinical setting, particularly with psychological or neuropsychological testing
Preferred Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities)
Knowledge of and experience using Qualtrics
Knowledge of and experience with the following languages: Python, Java, HTML, SQL
Development of software and interest in learning more about app and web development and maintenance
Scientific Writing
