Job Objective:
This position will assist in the Territorial development and implementation of eLearning resources for the child and vulnerable adult protection program Safe From Harm (SFH), upholding and carrying out the mission of The Salvation Army. The role will support the development of ongoing training initiatives creating engaging, interactive and effective learning experiences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Safe From Harm (SFH) Training Development:
Retain a thorough knowledge of territorial Safe From Harm (SFH) training policy and requirements as well as state laws applicable to The Salvation Army Central Territory that pertain to abuse prevention training.
Support the ongoing development of the SFH training curriculum for in-person classroom training, live-virtual training, and independent online trainings.
Implement the SFH training section of a territory-wide learning management platform, using eLearning software to create interactive modules, assessments, and simulations. Develop and organize learning paths to serve specialized positions and contexts within the territory.
Collaborate with the Inter-Cultural Ministries Department or other sources to obtain and integrate language translations of SFH training to meet needs throughout the territory.
Utilize Salvation Army media sources (online and in-print) to communicate The Salvation Army's child protection message while promoting abuse awareness and survivor empowerment across internal and public audiences.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
A bachelor's degree is required. Background in digital curriculum development and design, education (adult learning, curriculum development and training) or comparable fields will be considered.
Experience:
Knowledge/experience in eLearning design and development. Familiarity with youth-serving or vulnerable adult/human services and Salvation Army programs, policies and procedures is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must have a strong understanding of digital learning development, instructional design principles, learning theories and the learning process, as well as the technical skills to design and develop instructional materials.
Demonstrated capacity to produce creative and engaging online and in-classroom curriculum for adult learners.
Knowledge of abuse prevention strategies, training (design and delivery), and organizational development helpful.
Enthusiastic and collaborative team player with a positive personal presence and role model demeanor.
Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Skilled in the use of web-based learning management platforms (including Articulate), MS 365 and MS Office application skills, Internet research skills, and effective e-mail communication skills.
Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with supervisors, employees, beneficiaries and customers, and to perform the requirements of this job.
Ability to define problems, interpret an extensive variety of instructions, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
