Job Description
Zurich (Schaumburg, IL) seeks a SAP Business Objects Administrator to provide support for the SAP Business Objects BI 4.2 or above suites including installation, configuration, monitoring and upgrade management. Specific duties include: installing in BI 4.2 or above in a virtualized and physical environment; working with tomcat or other java web application servers; establishing connectivity to various data sources such as Yellowbrick and SQL Server; working with Crystal Reports, Universes, Webi, SAP Dashboards; working on projects where Business Objects infrastructure expertise is required; working with the Web development teams to test and deploy Web configurations on the Microsoft Windows, Apache platforms; providing SSO authentication; performing troubleshooting and issue resolution; communicating with stakeholders; identifying and managing dependencies with other systems and elements of the IT infrastructure; coordinating with security team to ensure servers and Web sites are secure; performing user provisioning across production, test and development environments; troubleshooting and resolving access related issues, reporting contend related issues and deploying the code changes from development team. Position requires certification in SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform 4.2 or above. May work remotely 40% of the time.
Position requires 3 or 4 years Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Natural Science, Botany or a closely related field of study, plus 7 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Senior Programmer, Technology Architect, Technical Consultant, BOE Administrator or similar position providing support for the SAP Business Objects. Must have 7 years of experience working with Datawarehouse and BI reporting solutions including end-to-end software development. Must also have 5 years of experience working as BOE Administrator in SAP Business Objects Enterprise 4.2 version or higher. Additionally, must have 3 years of experience working with each of the following: Azure Cloud environment; Windows OS and Linux OS app hosted environments; DB2; Postgres and SQL Server databases; reviewing SQL queries and optimizing SQL queries in case of performance issues. Specific experience must also include working on at least 2 upgrades from current SAP BOE version to higher version. Must be certified in SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform 4.2 or above. May work remotely 40% of the time.
