The Workday Integrations Engineer is responsible for developing in Smithfield's System Integration landscape within Workday, is tasked with analysis, troubleshooting, development and delivery of Workday connections, integrations, and enhancing API capabilities. The focus of this role is analysis and development within integration applications of Workday and enable technologies such as API's to target state architecture and state technology stack (WORKDAY, Microservices, APIs, Report Writer, etc.) to support project and production capabilities and timelines for the Human Resources Information Services Team.

As part of the Global Applications & Operations team, the Workday Integrations Engineer is responsible for maintenance, support and ongoing enhancement of middleware and integration components focused upon both internal applications and external business partners. The successful candidate will work closely with members of the HRIS application development, enterprise architecture and infrastructure teams, as well as cross functional project teams, to support and develop in application integrations in order to facilitate successful integration into the IT&T Workday system portfolio.

Core Responsibilities

Support Workday Project middleware integrations and to translate defined business, functional and non-functional requirements into a detailed design with the assistance of Sr. Analysts, the Technical Workday Integrations Team, and support of various line of business initiatives.

Support Workday Integrations Team and Project Teams in working with business and technology delivery teams proactively, and on an as needed basis, through other platform, relationship, and HRIS development managers.

Support, Troubleshoot, and Develop Workday Integrations, and API development within the Workday environment.

Support the transformation of legacy application integrations towards alignment with Smithfield standards of reusability and reliability through initiatives and programs as assigned.

Troubleshoot, Develop and Test technical solutions in a manner that meets the needs of the organization in a reliable and maintainable fashion.

Ensure that all solutions follow security, compliance controls, and conformance to IT security policies.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Information Technology or related field and 8+ years of experience as a software developer; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.

Advanced experience in integration development work in Workday Studio, Workday Report Writer, Workday Calculated Fields, Security, and Workday EIB.

Experience in Workday integrations with Payroll, Compensation, Finance, Recruiting, and various reporting.

Experience and/or capability of integrating applications with SAP, preferably S/4HANA.

Experience and/or capability with middleware and Integration platforms such as Dell Boomi, SAP PO/PI and MuleSoft.

Understanding and experience with standard WORKDAY Tools (Workday Integration Cloud, PRISM, Workday Connectors, etc. ) with the capability of analysis, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.

Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology architecture design concepts, strategies, and standards.
