Position Overview:
As Total Rewards Consultant, your role is to design, develop, and implement compensation and benefits packages to attract and retain employees. You'll work closely with the HR team, executives, and department managers to ensure that the organization is providing a fair and competitive rewards system that aligns with the company's goals and values.

To succeed in this role, you will need strong analytical and problem solving skills, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of legal compliance and regulations.

Core Responsibilities
Develop and manage company compensation and benefits programs

Oversee the administration of employee benefits plans, including healthcare, retirement, and time off

Conduct research and analysis to ensure competitive total rewards offerings

Create policies and procedures related to compensation and benefits

Advise management on best practices for total rewards and talent retention

Implement total rewards programs and communicate them to employees

Conduct audits and reviews of total rewards programs to ensure compliance with laws and regulations

Manage vendor relationships and negotiations for benefit programs

Monitor industry trends and inform leadership of potential changes to total rewards strategies

Compensation administration

Provide regular support with market pricing, including grading, leveling, and market research related to roles within the organization

Manage bonus process across the organization - including quarterly, annual, and off cycle requests

Oversee minimum wage and other compensation-based changes to ensure compliance and communication

Participate in annual compensation surveys with partner organizations

Benefits administration

Ensure accurate and compliant benefits administration by working directly with the Caribou benefits broker and providers

Manage Open Enrollment initiatives

Initiate benefits-focused communications to contribute to the overall Employee Value Proposition and drive awareness of our offerings to the organization

Oversee local and regional changes to ensure compliance - including ESST programs, and other related benefits

Lead the administration of the Caribou Cares giving program.

Manage Employee Compliance Programs

Drive compliance through awareness and oversight of programmatic needs related to ERISA, FLSA, ACA, HIPAA, and other applicable laws.

Support reporting needs across organization - including ad hoc reports from Workday, cyclical reports, and annual compliance related reporting.

Strong collaborative and communication skills to drive positive relationships and ensure key stakeholders are informed about the state of their needs/expectations.

High attention to detail.

Inherently curious - identify process or procedural opportunities and use data to support findings as well as validate the solution.

Strong organization and prioritization experience.

Offer strong mentorship to direct reports for personal and professional development.

Demonstrate expert-level understanding of Caribou Coffee offerings and resources.

Ability to communicate well one-on-one as well as present to small groups or teams.

Qualifications:
Required:

5+ years in Human Resources or similar field, including a minimum of 3 years in Total Rewards.

Bachelor's degree or higher with a concentration in Human Resources or similar field.

Proficient in Microsoft systems, including outlook, excel, word, and PowerPoint.

Analyst-level experience with benefits administration and compensation.

Ability to analyze, document, and present data for a variety of audiences at different levels within the organization.

Preferred:

SHRM certification

Workday HRIS experience

Data analytics and reporting experience
