Job Summary:
The, Lead Gardener under minimal supervision from the Groundskeeper Foreman and Groundskeeper Assistant Foreman provides a variety of skilled tasks within the landscape trade. The role assists with all shop-related work and facilitation associated with the maintenance and upkeep of the Evanston and Chicago campuses’ roads, walks, landscape, grounds, and Auto Shop. Independently works and performs quality control in the field to ensure safe and efficient operations. Coordinates and implements various landscape maintenance and construction related projects which may include supervising crews and contractors. Provides direction to staff and assists with limited supervisory responsibilities. Ensures timely completion of all shop-related paperwork and electronic approvals which may include service requests and timesheets. Cultivates good customer relations.

Please note: This job requires working outside in all weather conditions including snow, rain, sun, and wind. The position is on call 24 hours a day.
