Description:

Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Admissions, the Assistant Director is responsible for executing targeted recruitment activities and strategies to engage and enroll each new intake of students to UIC Law. This includes, but is not limited to hosting virtual recruitment events, travelling to attend recruitment fairs and LSAC forums, deploying communication plans, supporting event planning, and providing general counsel to prospective students and applicants. The assistant director is also responsible for developing an in-depth knowledge of and ability to leverage the functionality of the team's CRM, reading files and recommending admissions decisions, and participating in the management and interpretation of data to improve process and results.

Duties & Responsibilities

Represent the UIC School of Law (UIC Law) at national and regional campus visits, law fairs, and law forums
Review and evaluate applicant files
Organize and host visits of undergraduate groups on campus
Conduct meetings with prospective and admitted students
Respond to general admission inquiries by telephone, email, and in-person
Coordinate and participate in Open House events and other outreach/recruiting activities
Recruit, manage, and train student ambassadors and run the Student Ambassador Program
Assist the Director of Admissions in advising international students on immigration matters
Monitor and update social media sites for the Office of Admissions
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications


Bachelor's Degree required
At least one year of experience in admissions, enrollment management, or recruitment in a higher education environment
Experience in data management, organization, and analysis
Familiarity and facility with CRMs
Strong communication skills, including the ability to write clearly, present confidently, and carry out public speaking responsibilities as required
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
Ability to periodically lift up to 25 pounds
Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree or JD preferred
Experience with law school admissions or administration

The salary range is $65,000-$72,000.
