Duties and Responsibilities 
 Job Summary:


Loyola University of Chicago is seeking a Program Coordinator to provide broad based programmatic and administrative management for its nationally prominent Institute for Consumer Antitrust Studies, as well as administrative support to a cohort of Law School faculty and programs. The Program Coordinator reports to the Associate Dean for Administration with accountability to the Director of the Institute for Consumer Antitrust Studies.

Institute for Consumer Antitrust Studies responsibilities

Under the direction of the Director of the Institute for Consumer Antitrust Studies, the Program Coordinator, oversees the day-to-day operations of the Institute and provides high level and broad based administrative and programmatic support to the Institute and its affiliated faculty. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Managing the day-to-day operations of the Institute for Consumer Antitrust Studies and serving as a first point of contact for the Institute.
Planning and implementing programming, including the student fellowship program, monthly lunch series, career-oriented programs, the annual Loyola Antitrust Colloquium, the Antitrust Marathon series, and other conferences and events.
Overseeing Institute communications, including: maintaining databases and mailing lists; supervising the production and distribution of Institute reports, newsletters, and other publications; and communicating with students, faculty, alumni, and advisory boards.
Providing administrative support for affiliated faculty, committees, and journals, including course management, programming, and event support.
Partnering with the Law School admissions teams to develop, implement, and assess outreach and recruitment strategies.
Serve as initial contact for Antitrust student fellows and students completing the Competition and Consumer Protesting Law Certificate Program on student affairs matters. This requires partnering with law school and campus student services partners, coordinating orientation, and tracking of requirements.

 


Preparing basic budgetary requests, purchasing orders, office supply purchases, and reimbursements.


Hiring, onboarding, supervising, and serving as a resource to student workers.


Assessing administrative processes and programming and suggesting changes/improvements to increase efficiencies and enhance service.


Other Institute duties as assigned.

 

 

 

Law School administrative and program management:

 


In addition to the above Institute responsibilities, the Program Coordinator is part of a team of administrative professionals that provides administrative support to Law School faculty, functions, and events. In this capacity, this position serves as the primary administrative assistant to a defined group of faculty and provides administrative back up support across the law school, as needed. Specific administrative duties include but are not limited to:
Providing course management, exam, and related accommodation support;
Supporting programming and events, including room scheduling, catering and transportation logistics, and related purchasing;
Preparing and/or proofreading memos, letters, and journal articles for publication; and
Handling mail distribution, preparing materials for mailing, and photocopying and filing documents and materials.
Proactively assisting faculty and administrators and performing other duties as assigned.


Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience 
 Bachelor's degree in related field and at least two to three years of related experience preferred. Additional Education or Experience may be required by department program.
Qualifications 
 Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent, and at least two to three years of related experience preferred.

Preferred qualifications:


J.D. or equivalent.
Experience administering or coordinating programs in an academic setting or not-for-profit setting.
