Job Description

CVS Pharmacy, Inc., a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Buffalo Grove, IL: Manager, Application Development to design and develop enterprise software applications and platforms. Duties include: develop software solutions to meet business requirements and manage project execution to ensure adherence to schedule and scope; determine feasibility of solutions design and prepare technical design documentation; plan stages of application development to improve functionality and features with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability; write and review high quality code and perform unit and/or automation testing; confer with project personnel to identify and resolve problems; monitor progress milestones and deliverables; support applications, systems, and databases used to process prescriptions, claims, and related healthcare activities; collaborate with cross-functional teams on applications development, technical requirements, code review, project deliverables, quality assurance, and software development best practices; and mentor junior team members. Multiple positions.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Requires three (3) years of experience in each of the following: Software development for enterprise or web applications; IBM API Connect, IBM DataPower Gateway, or IBM APP Connect; Kong API, Google Apigee, Azure APIM, or API Gateway OpenSearch; Microservices and OpenShift; Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP); Amazon Web Services (AWS) products: S3, EC2, EMR, or RDS; Java, Python, or Node.js; Agile methodologies or SAFe Software Development Principles; Docker or Kubernetes; Troubleshooting, monitoring, and optimization; and Planning, developing, and implementing application integration and detailed architecture for healthcare or retail pharmacy organization.
