Job Summary
Sam Schwartz, a TYLin Company, is seeking an early career Traffic Engineer to join our Chicago-based Traffic Engineering Team.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
The selected individual will perform various traffic engineering and transportation planning tasks including:
Conduct site visits, field observations, and data collection
Perform traffic, pedestrian, parking, and safety analyses
Use traffic analysis software and innovative data analytics tools
Develop CAD-based design drawings of signs, markings, and signal controls
Conduct reviews of transportation plans and drawings for operational effectiveness
Prepare high-quality graphics, data visualizations, and reports
Attend internal and external project meetings
Qualifications
The candidate must be organized, able to work both collaboratively and independently, manage priorities, think creatively, and meet the following minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in civil or transportation engineering
Skilled user of Excel
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Adobe Illustrator preferred
Experience in traffic analysis software including HCS, Synchro/SimTraffic, and/or VISSIM preferred
EIT certification preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to commute to the office at least three days per week
Authorized to work in the US
