Agiliti is seeking an Associate Business Intelligence Engineer with a background of working with Power BI to play an important role in a large multi-year cross functional digital transformation initiative. This individual will be responsible for the development and administration of BI tools along with knowledge of the BI system. The main duties of the Associate BI Engineer will be the development of Power BI tabular models and reports, and to assist with the administration of Power BI Premium service.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidate will work closely with members of the Enterprise Data Management team as well as business partners to understand broad business information requirements and develop BI solutions, including:
Data visualizations
Analysis of Data
Tabular models within Power BI Service and Desktop
Create DAX expressions for aggregating data visualizations
Understand best practices to design, develop, and support Power BI visualizations
Publish reports and dashboards using Power BI Service for sharing and collaboration
Schedule dashboard refreshes and set up proactive notifications
Assist in implementing Row Level Security (RLS)
Manage Power BI workspaces
Leverage Microsoft Azure tools to develop BI solutions
Strong requirements analysis experience
QUALIFICATIONS
Exposure to and basic knowledge in developing Power BI dashboards meeting business needs
Exposure to and basic knowledge of writing basic to medium complexity SQL queries
Exposure to writing basic DAX expressions, like aggregations etc.
Experience with varied database sources such as SQL Server, SharePoint list, Azure analysis services.
Ability to articulate technical issues to business users
Self-starter with deep understanding of Agiliti's business processes
Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics or Engineering
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to work closely with Product Management and Architects to develop solutions
Support - Day to Day administration monitoring and health checks
Agile Methodology - Scrum and/or Kanban
Nice to have experienced with Power BI ecosystem for Compliance, Auditing, Data Privacy, Data Classification, Security and Controlling Access to Power BI
Deployed Security Integrations with Enterprise LDAP, AD, Azure AD, SAML and other next-gen IdP (Identity Provider)
Managing Power BI Premium Capacities (Cloud) and assigning Workspaces that include Workspace and Group Management
ITSM experience with Incident, Requests and Change Management. ServiceNow
Experienced with Power BI Report Server and On-Prem Data Gateway Installation, Upgrades and Configurations
Experienced with Power BI Service (SaaS)
Nice to have experienced with Power BI Embedded (PaaS)
Nice to have experienced with Performance and Tuning including Caching Techniques
