Your responsibilities
Major Areas of Responsibility
Reinforce safety as the highest priority in plant operations
Acts as a safety coach

Specific Responsibilities of the Job
Lead with Safety by example
Work on Safety Projects and tasks
Lead safety trainings for each shift with the HSE Leader when necessary
Routine, daily walkthroughs
Conduct weekly follow up on Safety Corrective Action Log
Audit JSA's for each work area with employee
Participate in 1 Behavior Based Audit per week
Spot check hoist/ladder/Forklift inspection forms for completion
Perform SPCC and SWPPP monthly inspections as needed
Oversee/develop plant recycling program
Assist with ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001 Certifications
Assist employees and workplace committees with creative approaches to improving safety
Assist with Incident Investigations - conduct interview process, take pictures, obtain proper paperwork such as ThyssenKrupp Crankshaft Employee Injury Report, Company Care Report form, any associated return to work papers
Delegated as Plant Fire Protection Officer on off-shifts
Attend S2QDC meetings on the Line and provide safety updates
5S Safety Areas (eye wash stations, fire extinguishers, oil drums, absorbent containers etc.)
