Job Description
Duties: Drive project vision and requirements, and contribute to the creation of the supplemental requirements, building the High Level and Low-level technical specifications for a particular platform and/or service solution, especially microservices on Azure and AWS clouds; Ensure that the design provides for expanding the capabilities of the software system that is being developed; Oversee development of Lean Business case and present to the business- which includes estimates on resourcing and time periods; Provide ideas on Product improvements, Operational efficiencies and process enhancements; Create/Review High Level design (HLD) for the assigned piece(s) with possible alternate solutions; Create/Review detailed (LLD) design for the assigned piece(s) with possible alternate solutions; Ensure that HLD/LLD design meets business requirements including Non-functional requirements; Participate in Architecture Board to review and approve the System; Design/Component Designs; Ownership for Delivery Execution for the Product/s; Define and execute on the project and support processes; Define best practices and comply with approved policies, procedures, and methodologies, such as the SAFe methodology for different project sizes; Manage corporate funds, materials and resources; Ensure adherence to federal and state laws while dealing with PII Data; Understand and help with SOC Audits; Act as a technical subject matter expert for the internal team on areas such as system functionality and approach including solving systems operations issues, performance initiatives. Leverage existing knowledge and expertise in multiple ways; Build team skills using formal and/or informal training sessions; Create and maintain knowledge repositories for lessons learnt and developments in the respective domains; Create appropriate architectural artifacts/Documents to represent architectural designs such as Component Diagram, Network Diagram, Data Flow diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, Use Case diagrams; Ensure teams develop user documentation and provide knowledge transfer to actual users of the Software. Ensure users are comfortable using the software and have reference documentation in case required; Proactively identify and resolve vulnerabilities in software, network and data; Plan and design penetration testing; and Design and audit data security. Telecommuting / work from home is permissible.
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field plus 7 years of experience in software design, architecture and engineering technical and data analysis, or related experience.
Skills Required: Must have experience with: Architecting Microservices for an Enterprise; Designing and reviewing enterprise level systems; Defining and improving processes; Leading teams of software engineers and Architects; Designing Production Support processes; Project Management; Absence Management Domain; Designing and implementing secure CI/CD; Enterprise software delivery using SAFe; SOC audits requirements; and Architecting and delivering data security. Therefore, an offer may fall anywhere in between the estimated minimum base salary for this role of $120,328/year (for full time employees) and the estimated maximum base salary for this role of $186,000/year (for full time employees).
