Job Title: Maintenance Technician II
Department: Maintenance (460)
Reports to Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Fair Labor Standards Act Status (FLSA): Exempt Non-Exempt X Hourly
Summary of the Position: The maintenance technician II independently repairs and performs complex electrical and mechanical maintenance on various food processing equipment, systems and related machinery panels, excluding maintenance and repair of related pipe and tube media delivery systems. The person in this position independently completes changeovers on a large number of lines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoots, repairs and performs complex electrical and mechanical maintenance on various food processing equipment, systems and related machinery panels independently. (45%)
- Performs routine preventive maintenance on equipment. Utilizes hand and power tools to facilitate work.(40%)
- Works in fabricating as needed, excluding fabrication activities related to pipe and tube media delivery systems. (10%)
- Assists in other building maintenance or repair activities as needed. (5%)
- Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP, SQF, and regulatory requirements.
- Aware and accountable in maintaining and documenting preventative controls necessary to ensure food safety and quality.
- Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management.
- Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills and information within assigned team and across functional areas.
- Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Five plus years of experience in repair, maintenance and troubleshooting
- Advanced knowledge of electrical components and wiring
- Advanced mechanical skills
- Advanced troubleshooting skills
