Job Description
The Office of Public Utilities, Electric Generation Division is seeking an individual to assist in the operation of the Flue Gas Desulfurization System Wastewater Treatment Plant and Material Handling Systems. This position will require making hourly inspections of the environmental and material handling processes (ammonia vaporizer system, FGDS WWTP, limestone conveying, gypsum conveying & coal handling). This position will be used to cover the Material Handler Operator, FGDS WWTP Operator positions when needed, as well as assisting with Buildings and Grounds and Boiler Fuels Maintenance as needed. Applicants are required to have a valid class D driver's license with the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License if required. Preference for employment in all positions with the city shall be given to applicants who are full-time residents. This position is covered by District 9, I.A.M.A.W.
