POSITION TITLE: Dual Language Teachers
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education (Will also accept any field in accordance with Illinois State Board of Education requirements)
- Professional Educator License (PEL) with Bilingual endorsement; or valid Illinois certification/license as required by State of Illinois; or be accepted to Illinois State Board of Education Exchange Visitor Teaching program.
- Must speak, read, and write Spanish
JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Dual Language Teachers for various and unanticipated locations throughout the district. In various and unanticipated locations throughout the district (Aurora, IL). Provide instruction in dual language education (Spanish/English) to elementary school students. Design courses in the classroom utilizing common core/content area standards, social emotional standards, curricula, and other materials adopted by the Board of Education. Diagnose needs of students to provide individual or small group instruction and adapt curriculum as needed. Develop and submit lesson plans. Communicate with parents, administrators and other applicable school personnel regarding a student’s academic and/or social and emotional progress and accommodations.
