Job Description

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Solution Specialist in Chicago, Illinois and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do
Develop Cloud-based software and technology solutions, including data cleansing and conversions, interface design/development, and systems development life cycle. Enable end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud within the following focus areas: Cloud messaging, ground-to-Cloud connectivity, Cloud Strategy, Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud Integration & APIs, Cloud Migration, Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services. Recommend, design, and implement Cloud Computing, IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), Managed Cloud, Server Virtualization, Software as a Service (SaaS), and Desktop as a Service (DaaS) solutions. Participate in aspects of the full software development life cycle, which includes requirements gathering, application configuration design, business process analysis, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects and change requests, escalations and urgent issues. Help facilitate continuous business improvement by planning and monitoring solution enhancements, upgrades, support packs, and scheduled functional releases. Help coordinate and manage test strategies, user behavior analysis, metrics and reporting.

• 15% Travel required nationally.
• Telecommuting permitted.
• Work location includes various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 1 year of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires 1 year of related work experience in each of the following:

• Performing data cleansing, data conversions, interface design, interface development, and systems development utilizing Workday Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP);
• Converting legacy data according to current system’s data structure using data warehousing concepts, including Microsoft (MS) SQL Server and Workday;
• Researching user reported issues with software applications, identifying root causes and resolutions, implementing fixes, and liaising between business functions, end users, and technical delivery teams, utilizing ServiceNow;
• Creating technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, and process models, utilizing MS Visio;
• Designing and deploying end-to-end cloud infrastructure using Workday Object Transporter and Workday Configurations;
• Working across all phases of the Agile and Waterfall project delivery life cycle for the design, and development of Workday Cloud Platform;
• Assisting teams in deployment to environments, including development, testing, and production on Workday Studio and Workday Accounting Center; and
• Working with a team of developers to both produce new components and resolve defects through a standard defect resolution process, utilizing ServiceNow.
