In today's evolving business landscape, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) efforts have emerged as critical success factors. Businesses seek partners who share similar ESG perspectives, and compliance requirements are on the rise. Many companies struggle with developing effective ESG programs and disclosing their impact. Investors, in particular, have unique disclosure needs to understand how corporate sustainability initiatives ultimately decrease investment risk.

Our ESG services include Peer Benchmarking, Framework Alignment and Reporting, Creating and Communicating your ESG Message, and Meeting SEC Climate Rules. 
Who You Are:
JD, MBA or BA in Economics, Finance, Sustainability, Human Capital, Human Resources, Sustainable Accounting or related fields or equivalent years of industry experience
10+ years of experience with consulting, project management, and client services
8+ years experience identifying, implementing, and/or support ESG and sustainability initiatives, including CSR reporting, ESG policy and governance, CDP submissions, Ecobadis submissions, etc.
Deep expertise with ESG standards, frameworks, and ratings including TCFD, SASB, CDP, UN Sustainable Development Goals, GRI, MSCI, Sustainalytics, ISS, etc.
Experience with regulatory readiness for the SEC climate disclosure rule, the California climate rules, and European standards and rules (e.g., CSRD, ESRS, CSDDD).
Exposure to Scope 1, 2, & 3 GHG emissions, double materiality assessments
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and database management
Certifications related to SASB or TCFD is preferred
Proficiency working in and implementing Workiva and other ESG systems is preferred What You'll Do:
Oversee ESG engagements, manage client expectations concerning project deliverables and deadlines, and lead change efforts effectively
Support growth and development of Riveron's ESG practice, working alongside business leaders to help identify and measure ESG risks and opportunities for individual clients and the broader market
Innovate and mature Riveron's ESG offerings and capabilities by creating and implementing ESG strategic initiatives and additional solution offerings
Lead the development and delivery of internal training initiatives to educate and upskill Riveron resources to better service clients on ESG projects
Demonstrate deep working knowledge of Riveron's practices and sub offerings and support business development opportunities via personal network as well as collaboration across practices and geographies
Oversee the creation of a variety of deliverables ranging from project kickoff materials, benchmarking decks, research memorandums, project status updates, and more
Build brand in the market place by participation in external association and visible events: participate in speaking engagements, conferences, thought leadership forums, networking events, preparation of publications, and demonstrate subject matter area expertise
Mentor, train, and develop the future leaders of the ESG practice; assess performance of teams and provide timely and constructive feedback
The expected pay range for this position is $140,000 - $ 275,000 (exclusive of bonus, equity, or benefits for which this role may be eligible). This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making individual compensation decisions including but not limited to experience and training; skill sets; licensure and certifications; location and other business and organizational needs; and applicable laws.
