Momence Packing Company Shipping Team Member 1st Shift Pay: $21.73/hr Hours: 6:00am - 3:30pm, Monday-Friday (Overtime as production demands) Position Overview The successful candidate will ensure compliance with all safety and quality requirements while working on a manufacturing processing line setting. This candidate will establish and sustain positive working relationships to contribute to the team and department goals. Responsibilities
- Safe operation of back dock forklifts, and power movers in back dock and production areas.
- Ability to learn all required SAP transactions.
- Ability to safely unload and load trucks with forklifts and power movers.
- Move product with a forklift into and out of blast freezer and put away product in freezer racks.
- Read and understand the production schedule.
- Correct use of scanning equipment.
- Understand receiving sheets and bills of lading.
- Understand shop orders and material status inquiry options.
- Know and follow all GMP & HACCP procedures.
- Help fill in on other shifts as needed to help cover absences/vacation time.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to take on future learning opportunities.
Experience
- Work history in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Skills and Competencies
- Ability to perform responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ability to push/pull/ lift at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to learn to shag trailers with our shag truck.
- Evaluation / decision making / prioritizing.
- Requires full range of body motion: standing, squatting, kneeling, upper body twisting, hand, and wrist mobility.
