The Enterprise Connectivity team of Cat Digital is hiring a NPI team lead. This NPI team lead position is with the Connectivity team inside the CAT Digital organization which has enterprise accountability for telematics product line strategy definition, implementation, quality, Telecom, and cost. As a NPI team lead you will provide leadership and accountability for the delivery of the telematics connectivity end to end solutions. This will include collaboration with internal development partners such as product groups (CI: BCP, EMD, EXD – RI and E&T), GCI, IC&S, CISD, CD&T, MTES, E&T Digital and Aftermarket team.

Job Summary:

Incumbent will provide NPI leadership for customer/ dealer facing on-board Telematics (Cellular, Sat, Wi-Fi, BT, UWB, etc.) solutions/programs by owning product functional requirements and maintaining a MGPP (Multi-generational product plan) for on-board Telematics products that he/she is responsible for. The incumbent will generate functional requirements based of voice of customer (VOC), voice of dealers (VOD), voice of business (VOB), and voice of regulations (VOR) and align requirements with market and future trends in Telematics and Telecommunication. The incumbent will make sure there is alignment between Marketing Requirement Document (MRD), system requirement and hardware requirements documents, he/she will be working very closely with Enterprise technical leaders.

As a Digital Program Manager, you will participate in defining functional designs and application systems architecture across various digital platforms. You will be responsible for gathering new customer connectivity/EMURGE/Data Strategy features requests, refining these requests, guiding them through the architecture, development and validation process and ensuring their timely delivery. As a Digital Program Manager, you will collaborate with Cat Digital architecture, platform and applications team for Enterprise architecture, new technology implementation, research and evaluation of emerging digital technologies and solutions.

This Digital Program Manager position will be in Peoria, IL within Enterprise Connectivity team inside the CAT Digital organization which has enterprise accountability for telematics and telecommunications product line strategy, rationalization, quality, and cost. This position will be critical in manage connectivity program(s), supporting EMURGE program and Data Strategy projects across the industries and business units, consolidating, and rationalizing that input, considering tradeoffs in lifecycle costs and functionality to drive optimum enterprise solutions for global market.

What You Will Do:

+ Ensuring the execution and delivery of projects and NPI programs based on timelines, budgets, quality targets, functional requirements, alignment with regulatory requirements, and performance expectations.

+ Accountability for the definition and management of functional requirements. This will require interfacing with internal customers including Construction Industries, Resource Industries, Energy & Transportation, aftermarket and IC&S.

+ Fostering collaboration, communication, and innovation

+ Developing and tracking annual budgets and program life-time forecasts related to product development and programs.

+ Applying good business acumen to make trade-offs between customer requirements, business constraints, and technology capabilities.

+ Facilitating the development and support of telematics products through collaboration with development partners including product groups, IC&S, Cat Digital, CD&T, MTES, and E&T Digital.

+ Providing leadership and direction to multi-function teams to develop program level development strategy and oversee all functions involved in the NPI product development process.

+ Executing the NPI Process; prioritize critical customer and business requirements; guide concept selection and the development of product requirements and technical specifications.

+ Ensuring the NPI program meets all goal requirements for product function, reliability, program cost, budget, and customer satisfaction

+ Participating in addressing business requirements for applications and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver digital solutions that meets business results.

+ Collaborate with performing organizations with respect to deliverables associated with requirements. Participates in the preparation of detailed documentation and requirements. Utilizes specific organizational methods, tools and techniques for requirements analysis.

+ Leading the evaluation and deployment of new digital technologies and solutions to add or enhance existing digital technical capabilities.

+ Overseeing and ensuring the timely delivery of connectivity/EMURGE/Data Strategy features through collaboration with development partners in both IC&S and Cat Digital. This entails shepherding features through architectural assessment, engineering forecasting, release commitment, validation and delivery.

+ Communicate the status of program/project to stakeholders and customers in clear, concise, and compelling manner.
