Position Overview
The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve as Budget Analyst. Under direction, this position will develop and prepare supporting documentation for the Department’s budgetary submission to the Governor’s Office of Management and Budget (GOMB). As directed, the position will attend and represent the Department in meetings with GOMB and various legislative committees concerning agency operational requests. This position will also conduct detailed analysis of historical spending and projected expenditures using computer database programs, spreadsheets, and reporting software. Additionally, the position will conduct detailed analysis of direct service caseload data to establish affordable hiring targets and project future front line staffing needs, while serving as working supervisor of subordinate staff.
