Position Overview

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, energetic individual to serve as Cook County Property Control Liaison. Under direction, this position will travel to regional facilities and coordinate building requirements. The position will investigate complaints regarding environment and Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Standards and evaluate and resolve such complaints. The position will support the direction of the region’s Property Control Program and instruct staff on Agency policy, rules, and regulations pertaining to property and facilities management. 1. Serves as Cook County Property Control Liaison


2. Supports the direction of the region’s Property Control Program and instructs staff on Agency policy, rules, and regulations


3. Works closely with the Agency’s Telecom Coordinator and Security Systems Coordinator to ensure the region’s compliance with Agency safety standards


4. Provides input into the evaluation and implementation of the Agency’s goals for meeting and maintaining Joint Commission on Administrative Rules standards which are specifically related to the management of equipment, surplus, and record keeping


5. Organizes goals and objectives for the distribution/delivery of internal and inter-office equipment delivery for the region


6. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
