Job Summary
Position: Department Support Assistant II - Per Diem
Location: Evanston Hospital
Per Diem - hours will vary
Hours: day shift hours as needed

Summary:
The Department Support Assistant will play a crucial role in providing advanced administrative and operational support to the department, contributing to its efficiency and success. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in administrative support and a commitment to ensuring the department's smooth operation.

What you will do:
Provide general administrative support to the department, including answering phones, managing correspondence, and maintaining departmental records and files.
Assist with the organization of meetings, conferences, and special events, including scheduling, room reservations, and material preparation.
Enter and update data in spreadsheets, databases, and electronic systems as needed.
Assist in generating routine reports and documents for the department.
Maintain and monitor inventory of office supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock and submitting orders as necessary.
Organize and maintain departmental records, files, and documents.
Assist in scheduling appointments, meetings, and conference calls for department members as required.
Coordinate and confirm appointments and manage calendars as needed.
Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by department leadership.
Provide backup support to other administrative staff when necessary.

What you will need:
Education Required: High School
Previous administrative experience preferred
Previous hospital administrative experience preferred
