Job Description
Play a leading role on product development teams that strategize, design, build and launch custom-designed, enterprise-level software applications that use object-oriented programming, such as Ruby, .NET, or Java. Develop and own key client stakeholder relationships in order to become a trusted adviser and to influence the account and work scope - especially with executives who own the customer experience and product outcomes. Use Lean Value Tree to drive alignment and prioritization of business and customer outcomes and the strategies and initiatives that support them. Lead and facilitate the creation of a product vision, strategy and roadmap with stakeholders and lead the execution of the product strategy and delivery plan across a portfolio of products. Manage and conduct user research to understand user needs, communicate research outcomes, and shape product priorities and products at the user experience level. Produce artifacts that drive common understanding between clients and Thoughtworks teams about the problem space and customer and business priorities, such as Customer Journey Maps, Service Design Blueprints, Business canvases, Value proposition canvases, and Customer empathy maps. Use a Lean Product Design approach to define the product, including Design Thinking tools and techniques. Facilitate daily stand-up meetings to analyze, prioritize, and decompose features into user stories for consumption by the delivery teams. Own and maintain the product backlog, sprint backlog and release plan with an integrated understanding of the changing customer needs, market landscape, and business priorities. Coach and mentor team members on Agile, Lean, continuous delivery, and analysis best practices. Lead client and team working sessions, and facilitate remote contributions to workshops, artifacts, and meetings. Work on projects with distributed teams, including coordinating across countries and time zones. At least 80% travel across U.S.
