Job Description
Job Duties: Manage identification, analysis, and documentation of problems with program function, output, or content. Perform lead role in determination of appropriate procedures to recreate and isolate software defects. Oversee and perform lead role in writing, updating, and maintenance of computer programs or software systems to correct identified defects or required enhancements. Lead testing of system modifications to ensure that the desired results are produced. Oversee the preparation for release and implementation of revised code. Perform lead role and monitor bug resolution efforts and track outcomes. Supervise the documentation of software defects, using a bug tracking system, and reporting of defects to test engineers and software developers. Perform lead role in writing of reports and creation or maintenance of databases of known defects and resolutions. Oversee and perform lead role in reviewing of software documentation and technical design documents to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks.
Requirements: Master's or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), IT, Management Information Systems, or related and 1 year of experience in the job offered or as a/an software designer, developer, analyst, tester, or related. In the alternative, we will accept a Bachelor's or equivalent in the above-stated fields plus 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the above-stated occupations. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience not less than the primary requirements. Position is based out of 55 W. Monroe Street, Suite 1200, Chicago, IL 60603, and may require relocation to various unanticipated locations throughout the United States.
