Overview
Expected pay for this position is $32.31 - $46.21/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Graduate Advisor - Instructor Non-Doctoral provides academic advisement in discussion and planning the academic program while providing consistent, accurate information about academic matters. The position helps students understand academic and institutional policies and procedures. The advisor provides classroom and clinical/laboratory instruction for the College of Nursing students including preparation of content, and assignments and evaluation of student clinical and academic progress. Interacts with health care team members in cooperating clinical agencies to facilitate student learning and to promote quality care of patients. Participates in the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the College of Nursing's total educational programs. Acts as a change agent and leader to create a preferred future for nursing education and nursing practice.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Master's degree in nursing
Experience: 2 years of Nursing experience
Licensure/ Certification: IL Reg Nurse License
Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: 2 years of clinical practice experience commensurate with population-focused area of practice, if applicable.
Graduate teaching experience
Evidence of continued self-development within profession.
Licensure/ Certification: Nurse Educators Certification
