What you will be doing

Summary:

The ideal candidate will beresponsible for designing cutting-edge software frameworks, systems, and products that will set the standard for the industry. You'll use your extensive technical knowledge to conceive system interfaces and business application prototypes, while also identifying and resolving any framework design weaknesses. The goal of this individual will be to maximize Cencora's investment in the ServiceNow's CMDB and Discovery to ensure that the capabilities are being utilized to their fullest.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Establishes and maintains liaison relationship with business partners and IT organization in order to provide effective technical solutions for the CMDB and Discovery

Conducts data gathering and analysis to understand business strategy requirements as they related to the CMDB

Contributes to the business short-and long-term planning sessions and provides direction to ensure understanding of business goals and direction

Provides input from a business and IT perspective

Assesses client needs utilizing a structured requirements process (gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes) to assist in identifying business priorities and advice on options

Develops, writes, and communicates business requirements and functional specifications for the implementation of business solutions

Assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive CMDB strategy aligned with organizational goals and ITIL best practices

Help establish governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security within the CMDB

Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate the CMDB with relevant systems and tools, such as incident management, change management, and asset management

Lead efforts to populate the CMDB with accurate and complete data from various sources, including discovery tools, manual inputs, and integration with other IT systems

Implement automated processes for regular data updates, validation, and reconciliation to maintain data accuracy and consistency

Ensure interoperability between the CMDB and other ITSM (IT Service Management) processes to support holistic service delivery and management

Ensure regular audits and reconciliation of the CMDB to maintain data integrity and consistency

Collaborate with IT teams to identify and resolve discrepancies in configuration data

Integrate the CSDM and CMDB with third-party tools and systems such as network monitoring tools, asset management systems, and cloud platforms to ensure a comprehensive and unified view of the IT landscape

Work closely with ServiceNow administrators and developers to integrate the CSDM and CMDB with other ServiceNow modules and applications

Support and troubleshoot Discovery across Cencora, and ensure that Discovery patterns are optimally configured

Ensure that Discovery mid-servers are optimally configured and able to discover the Cencora network including creation and management of discovery schedules

Create custom Discovery patterns and REST discovery for devices not supported natively by ServiceNow

Design and implement custom integrations between ServiceNow and tools within the Cencora enterprise

Assist in the management CI lifecycle including process, policy, procedure definition, and identification of improvement opportunities across asset and configuration management

What your background should look like

Bachelor's degree or in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience

Requires experience/in-depth knowledge of business operations and systems requirements processes

Proficiency in IIBA principles and practices

Typically requires a minimum of five to seven (5-7) years of relevant technical and business work experience

5+ years of ServiceNow platform experience with a strong focus in ITOM & CSDM

Completion of ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Application Developer (CAD), along with at least two completed CIS certifications

Experience in one or more of the following ServiceNow applications is preferred but not required: SecOps, CSM, FSM, SPM, or HRSD
