IT Network Security Engineer
The Network Security Engineer - position is responsible for coordinating network and security infrastructure activities for Production, Staging, and Development environments throughout the School Specialty Enterprise.
The base salary range for this role is $79,000-$106,000K Annually.
**Ideal candidates must be within 60 miles of either the Greenville WI, Lombard IL or Mansfield OH locations**
Summary of Primary Responsibilities
Provide support for all network devices (Routers, Switches, WLCs, Firewalls)
Provide configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of LAN, WAN, and WLAN network devices
Implement and maintain network security architectures
Troubleshoot and provide support in network and security-related issues
Assists in designing, testing, and improving the network security infrastructure, ensuring they are highly available, robust, secure, and operationally efficient.
Stay current with up-to-date security and network practices
Support PCI compliance
Contributes to 24/7 on-call and travels as needed to perform site assessments and deploy new systems.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Develop, implement, and maintain scalable network standards, procedures, and controls
Performance measuring and tuning
Capacity Planning
IP Telephony QoS support and troubleshooting
Minimum Experience Requirements
Strong background in IP networking
Experience with Cisco routers, switches and APs
Experience with Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewalls and SDWAN
Experience with F5 load balancers
Experience with Azure networking
Preferred Skills and Knowledge
Desire to work in a team environment
Willingness to perform after-hours and on-call duties as needed
Ability to mentor others is a must
Ability to prioritize and multi-task
Willingness to learn and adapt to new environments and technologies
Self-starter and confident
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
