Description
The Dean of Enrollment and Student Success provides support to the Vice President for Student Services and strategic leadership and direction to various departments essential for student and institutional success. This role oversees the Admissions and Records Office (records, transcripts, Commencement), Office of Recruitment and Enrollment Management (recruitment, enrollment management, Guided Pathways), Student Success Services (tutoring, testing, International Studies, DEIB), and the Student Wellness Center (mental and physical health, wellness initiatives, food pantry). The Dean will provide strategic leadership to the Associate Dean of Enrollment Management in the development and implementation of the Guided Pathways Model and enrollment management efforts through the Guided Pathways Strategic Enrollment Management Plan (GPSEM). The Dean collaborates with stakeholders to implement initiatives aimed at enhancing student success, persistence, and completion rates. The Dean provides oversight on the development and maintenance of policies and procedures pertinent to the area of student records, adhering to Board of Trustees policies concerning Admissions and Records including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA).

Essential Job Functions:

Provide direct support to the Vice President for Student Services on emerging projects for the benefit of the Student Services unit and the College. Act as the leader of the Student Services unit in the absence of the Vice President for Student Services.
Oversee and provide direct supervision of the following departments: Admissions and Records, Recruitment and Enrollment Management, Student Success Services, and the Student Wellness Center. Ensure effective leadership, coordination, and support for each department to foster a collaborative and student-centered environment that enhances the overall student experience and success.
Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of all academic records for current and former students through oversight and supervision of the Admissions and Records Office.
Oversee the development and maintenance of policies and procedures concerning student records in compliance with FERPA and the Board of Trustees policies.
Collaborate with the Associate Dean of Recruitment and Enrollment Management to lead the implementation of the Guided Pathways Model and the Guided Pathways Strategic Enrollment Management Plan (GPSEM). Oversee and guide the development and execution of the GPSEM plan, ensuring regular updates on progress towards goals in partnership with the Associate Dean.
Be up-to-date on all laws, rules, and regulations regarding FOIA requests and serve as the FOIA officer for the College working closely with the Director of Admissions and Records to handle and distribute FOIA requests appropriately.
Collaborate with the Director of Admissions and Records to supervise the coordination of the College's Commencement ceremony or ceremonies and subsequent processes for graduation/completion certification.
Provide leadership in the coordination of college-wide efforts to achieve the implementation of a full Guided Pathways Model in partnership with the Associate Dean of Recruitment and Enrollment Management and other key leaders in Student and Academic Services.
Collaborate with the Vice President for Student Services and Office of Institutional Effectiveness to prepare 10th Day Enrollment Reports/Presentations to the Board of Trustees and other stakeholders each semester.
Collaborate with Marketing and Public Relations to ensure the accuracy of all enrollment and onboarding materials and supervise the maintenance of accurate web pages pertaining to all areas under the Dean's purview.
Serve as a member of various committees to support the objectives of the Student Services division and the College.
Provide guidance to Student Success Services, overseeing the management of tutoring, testing, proctoring, and the facilitation of student accommodations as well as the areas of International Studies and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB).
Provide guidance to the Student Wellness Center, overseeing mental and physical health services, wellness initiatives, the Benefits Navigator, and the campus food pantry.
Engage with community organizations and stakeholders to enhance recruitment, enrollment, and student support services.
Working collaboratively with department leaders, develop and manage the operational budgets for supervised departments.
Oversee the allocation and effective use of resources to support the strategic priorities of the Student Services unit and the College.
Provide relevant reports and analyses to support data-driven decision making and resource planning.
