Beyond working to secure quality products at the lowest possible prices through our Buying and support teams (Administration, Merchandising, Pricing, Quality Assurance, Analytics and more), our teams ensure we are providing the best value and quality in everything we do.

In this role the Buying Manager – Non-Alcoholic Beverages will be responsible for leading a team of Associate Buyers while overseeing several non-alcoholic beverage categories, have a strong focus on buying operations, lead day to day responsibilities for national brand programs, and manage a variety of projects. The ideal candidate will have an excellent attitude, communication skills, ability to adapt due to fast paced beverage landscape and buying environment, possess a strong leadership skillset, have a vast understanding of current buying operational processes and in system knowledge, and demonstrate project management capabilities. The objective of this role is to manage, lead, and drive initiatives on the non-alcoholic beverages desk.

Position Type: Full-Time

Work Location: Batavia, IL

This role is eligible to participate in ALDI’s Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 2 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 2 days per week; work in-office at least 3 days per week).

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Supports leadership with the selection, assortment and variety of items.

- Assists their direct leader with decisions regarding the design and packaging of product and cases in accordance with the agreed benchmarks and policies.

- Endorses the text/copy for advertised products and recommends the text for price cards.

- Assures the training, development, and performance of their team’s staff to retain a motivated, professional workforce that achieves their career objectives.

- Recruits and recommends qualified employees for their team’s staff positions.

- Establishes, communicates and evaluates job responsibilities and performance expectations to their team to ensure mutual understanding of desired results.

- Understands the overarching company strategy while communicating and modeling the core values of the organization to create a sense of teamwork and membership among employees.
