Come join our extraordinary team! As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with experienced Health Physicists and Radiological Calibration Technicians. In this role you will support the accredited Ionizing Radiation Calibration Facility. Responsibilities

+ Perform Calibration, Quality Control and Research & Development irradiations for the Landauer External Dosimetry program.

+ Perform irradiations for the Fluke Instrument Calibration program.

+ Assist the Ionizing Radiation Calibration Facility Technical Expert and Radiation Safety Officer in maintaining regulatory and accreditation compliance.

+ Draft, edit, review and distribute internal policy documents.

+ Support the Health Physics Manager and the Health Physics department in administration of the Landauer External Dosimetry program.

+ Champion continuous improvement for your organization, using the Fortive Business System (FBS) toolbox.

Qualifications

+ Required: Associate’s degree in Health Physics, Nuclear or Radiological Engineering or related field.

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Health Physics, Nuclear or Radiological Engineering or related field.

+ Experience with or an understanding of Radiation Measurement, Health Physics, Material Sciences, Dosimetry, and Shielding.

+ Must be willing and able to complete Trustworthiness and Reliability determination per 32 Illinois Administrative Code 337.

Preferred

+ Experience with utilization and calibration of radiological instruments.

+ Working knowledge of external dosimetry systems.

+ Basic computer programming fundamentals.

+ Experience working both independently and with a team.
