Major Duties :1. Conducts system architecture studies of new and existing IT systems to permit development of integrated systems that operate at low cost levels.

2. Advises on system scalability and development opportunities that can be utilized or adapted to meet business objectives.

3. Consults with IT and client management in the development of tactical systems plan and directions to assure the integration of the corporate and distributed and/or client server business area architectures.

4. Provides technical expertise at the highest level.

5. Participates in building of new and on-going vendor relationships.

6. Promotes sharing of expertise through consulting, presentation and documentation.

7. May assist in the training of other application or infrastructure architecture staff.

Knowledge :Extensive knowledge of systems architecture, excellent consultative skills, strong analytical ability and ability to work effectively with clients and IT management and staff. Analytical skills are needed to analyze and evaluate technical information and coordinate projects.

Experience :Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline and at least five, typically seven or more years experience in systems architecture methodologies, or an equivalent combination of education and work experiences.
