Job Description
Provides security related services to campus, including tier 1 customer service, monitoring and assisting with cybersecurity training/education programs. This is a full-time, on campus position. Responsibilities:
- Actively monitor campus monitoring for security events and remediate; monitor for security events related to authentication, end point protection, network activity and campus servers; analyze and respond to any alerts raised by monitoring system or detected by monitoring; Respond to and remediate automated alerts regarding campus SOC service; Provide tier 1 response for security related tickets and events.
- Assist with user training and security testing; provide initial point of contact for questions regarding training, issues or general security; escalate priority tickets to senior analysts
Support University IT compliance needs; perform periodic vulnerability scanning of internal systems; assist in annual risk assessments and penetration testing
