Job Description
Verisk Marketing Solutions (VMS) is seeking a proven sales leader to lead the Marketing Solutions Sales Team. This person will be accountable for sales results, personnel development, strategic planning, and organizational alignment for the purpose of accelerating the VMS mission. If you're ready to join a growing, innovative and successful sales organization, we're seeking someone who has a proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding annual sales goals, has experience leading teams with complex & consultative sales engagements, possesses a growth mindset, consistently seeks and solicits active feedback and excels at building long-lasting and trusting internal and external relationships.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the sales organization to consistently attain assigned annual sales goals
* Foster strong internal and external working relationships to achieve corporate growth objectives
* Effectively coach, mentor and develop sales team leaders and members to achieve mutual sales success, professional development & career goals
* Manage, maintain & grow existing subscription revenue in key verticals while ensuring a high level of customer experience
* Collaborate to develop and maintain effective organizational sales strategies to attain a higher share of wallet in white space opportunities
* Successfully coach, mentor and assist sales teams to develop a deep understanding and a high level of trust within each of their respective assigned sales territories
* Leverage Salesforce to effectively manage & communicate sales team territory activity, updates and opportunities across VMS
* Coordinate and work closely on sales opportunities, where required or where cross business unit opportunities exist, with other Verisk Analytics peers
* Effectively capture developing industry trends, new product ideas and competitive intelligencewithin the industry to share internally
* Create & assign optimized organizational alignment within current team as well as the ability to forecast future headcount requirements and corresponding business cases for approval
* Be an active leader within the sales leadership team and cross-functional teams to help drive successful sales strategy, development of compensation plans, and ongoing pipeline development
* Accurately forecast sales pipeline and quarterly sales commit to inform business unit revenue forecast

* Must have 10-15+ years' consultative sales leadership experience within data, enterprise software and/or analytics space
* Able to effectively engage within the customer C-Suite to align VMS and Verisk value with the customer's strategic business goals, challenges, and objectives * Ideal candidate possesses one or more of the following a subject matter expert-level understanding of consumer identity and attribute data and its various applications for customer acquisition and retention, as well as experience running enterprise sales engagements at the management-level within Personal lines Insurance, Financial Services, and/or media and advertising businesses that service these verticals
* Must have prior track record of working in a highly competitive industry while building strong working relationships within a matrixed organization to achieve both sales and organizational objectives
