As our Clinical Auditor, Revenue Integrity you will help ensure accurate medical charging allowing patient care facilities to focus on providing care. Every day you will perform medical record audits to ensure charges were provided and supported, investigate patient charge concerns by reviewing medical records and looking for inaccuracies, collaborate with other revenue cycle departments on process improvements to reduce charge related errors. To thrive in this role you must be able to read and understand medical charts, have an eye for finding discrepancies and errors, and communicate your findings verbally and in writing.
Here’s what you will experience working as a Revenue Integrity Specialist
+ Research medical records to determine services charged were provided and supported and validate the accuracy of patient charges
+ Perform periodic charge audits to support corporate compliance program
+ Identify process improvements for revenue cycle staff operations and clinical department teams
+ Assist coders with clinical documentation issues and liaise with charge capture and billing functions
Required Skills:
+ Ability to read and understand medical charts through clinical experience as an RN, medical assistant, occupational therapist, respiratory therapist, radiology technician, etc.
+ Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical documentation processes and procedures
+ Ability to navigate Electronic Medical Records
+ Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel – ability to sort and filter spreadsheets
For this US-based position, the base pay range is $14.92 – $20.21 per hour . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
