Position Highlights:
Position: Billing Rep III
Location: Skokie, IL
Full Time
Hours: Standard business hours, Mon-Fri
What you will do:
Daily work accounts in the Workques by reviewing type of accident, place of accident
Send an MSP letter to the patient or call if high $$
If third party insurance is obtained and the total charges is $1000.00 or greater update the patient's account with the Med Pay/Liability insurance. Initiate bill and add to account W/Q 728 for possible lien. Follow Procedure Department Guidelines
Rebill, if necessary, update and/or relocate charges as needed to correct accounts
Work Medicare accounts with accident injuries for possible Med Pay/Liability/as required by MSPQ
Work assigned system generated reports/Work Queues
Request and track receipt of medical records requests initiated by billing staff
Transfer charges between accounts
Generate itemized bills as requested by the billing representatives
What you will need:
Education: High School Graduate or equivalent, required. 2+ years under graduate education, strongly preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years healthcare business office experience, required. Minimum of 6 months experience in specialty area, required. Minimum of 1 year lead or supervisory experience, strongly preferred.
