Position Summary


Accountable for warehouse/inventory operations related to receipt, inspection, management, replenishment and distribution of materials. Position is responsible for monitoring product par levels, conducting physical inventory/cycle counts, delivering products to end users and exhibiting exceptional customer service, internally and externally.

 


Responsibilities

 

Monitors inventory levels and replenishes stock items based on assigned par levels.

Ensure products are inspected upon arrival, quarantined per SOP requirements, if applicable, and received promptly, completely and accurately in MMIS.

Responsible for stocking supplies according to assigned bin locations to most effectively utilize warehouse space.

Prompt and complete fulfillment of internal customer orders and requests to achieve the highest level of customer service. May include delivery to other sites.

Maintains a neat and well-organized warehouse to facilitate workflow and provide a safe working environment.

Proactively communicates with potentially impacted department(s) of any expected operational and/or supply delays specifically pertaining to the possibility of any manufacturing disruption. Propose alternative supply options and detailed delivery information.

Conducts physical inventory and cycle counts of stock items as required by blood center policy. Ensures count entries are complete and accurate.

Proficient in warehouse management systems with a moderate understanding of inventory management principles.

Promotes a positive customer service image with suppliers and internal customers and practices continuous improvement on a daily basis.

Qualifications


Education
High School Diploma required

the equivalent required Experience
1-3 years of Supply Chain experience preferably in materials handling and inventory management in a regulated warehouse environment. preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to read and interpret documents such as Standard Operating Procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and department manuals. required

Ability to perform duties independent of supervision and in compliance to regulations. required

Ability to prioritize and coordinate the completion of multiple tasks in a timely manner. required

Basic understanding of inventory reorder points, reorder quantities, min and max levels and the effects they have on carrying costs. required

Excellent organizational and customer service skills. required

Effective verbal and written communication skills. required

Understanding of inventory management concepts in the areas of planning, control and distribution including Just in Time methodologies. required

Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office products and Materials Management Information Systems. required

Moderate knowledge of blood center operations. required

Valid state driver's license required. requiredTools and Technology

General office equipment (computer, printer, fax, copy machine) required
