Job Title: Communications Specialist
Duration: End of year with possible extension
Location: Remote in Lake County 60045, with having to go onsite for meetings.

Summary:
Seeking a motivated professional that can bring their expertise to our global internal communication strategy. Candidate should be able to identify, develop, and produce plans and content for our internal strategy, using various communications platforms. Must be able to work efficiently with vendors and colleagues at all levels of the organization. This role reports to our Associate Director of Communications for Pharmacovigilance, Epidemiology, and R&D Quality Assurance. This is a remote, full-time position. Candidates should be based in the Chicagoland area with the ability to work out of our North Chicago headquarters occasionally. Expected duration is up to six months.

Duties:
* Partners with team and business representatives to execute internal communications plans designed to inform and empower employes, drive change, promote engagement, amplify our brand, and create a deeper connection to our strategic initiatives.
* Functions as an internal journalist eager to learn more about and showcase our business and our colleagues
* Researches, develops, and writes employee features that align with our strategic initiatives
* Designs and distributes monthly internal newsletter
* Executes various aspects of internal promotional campaigns
* Makes daily updates to our internal portal
* Maintains a content calendar of functional events, initiatives, and executes related communications
* Manages multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizes appropriately
* Remains current with emerging trends to determine the most effective communications media to convey messages and engage targeted audiences
* Collects, compiles, evaluates, and efficiently communicates feedback data
* Other duties as assigned

*Qualifications Required:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent education
* 5+ years of experience
* AP style proficiency
* Microsoft Office 360 proficiency
* SharePoint Proficiency

Preferred:
* Experience in a pharmaceutical setting
* Canva Proficiency

* Fast learner

* Naturally curious
* Able to handle multiple priorities and deliver good results.
