Job Description
Develop technical solutions to provide customized reporting and analysis tools for the equity research department. Utilize understanding of market structures and trading systems in domestic and international markets to conduct design, development, and maintenance of existing and new front office applications and systems from the specifications phase to the deployment phase. Produce documentation at all levels, provide client service, and perform technical writing to develop and integrate technology systems. Execute all phases of the technology lifecycle and utilize testing methodologies. Translate business requirements into technical specifications to build connected, service-oriented applications. Build intranet web applications, window services, and multi-threaded programs. Utilize unit testing methodologies using unit testing frameworks. Develop internet-facing applications using “customer portal” technology and “sites” technology. Use multi-tenant architectures in cloud to support secure and confidential data gathering from brokerage firms. Work with backend development with Microsoft Technologies (C#, .NET Framework, and Web API); software architecture design; building scalable backend enterprise applications; Equities Research Broker Relations based systems; code optimization and performance tuning techniques to ensure optimal application performance; MSSQL, including query building, table design, and performance tuning; full scope of application development, including authentication, integration with APIs, build processes, testing, validation, and state management; and, building backend enterprise applications that integrate with sell side brokers as part of the Broker Relation workflow.
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or a related field of study, plus five (5) years of experience with backend development with Microsoft Technologies (C#, .NET Framework, and Web API); software architecture design; building scalable backend enterprise applications; Equities Research Broker Relations based systems; code optimization and performance tuning techniques to ensure optimal application performance; MSSQL, including query building, table design, and performance tuning; full scope of application development, including authentication, integration with APIs, build processes, testing, validation, and state management; and, building backend enterprise applications that integrate with sell side brokers as part of the Broker Relation workflow.
