Job Description
Oversee the execution of organizational studies and evaluations of vessel operations to assess the company’s efficiency in terminal operations. Gather information from vendors regarding container moves, types, operation stoppages and standbys and document findings in reports for use by the company’s Accounting & Finance Team, Vessel Planning Team, Safety, Security & Compliance Team, and Legal & Claims Team. Provide predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions in the area of vessel and terminal management. Perform studies of work product and procedure, including organizational changes, communications, information flow, and cost analysis. Develop key performance indicators (KPI’s). Oversee the development and execution of strategically effective operational and management strategies to address specific organizational problems related to vessel and terminal operation. Build reusable statistical models to address business problems related to vessel movements to assist in validating billing for towage, linemen and pilots, using advanced process modeling methods including Lean Six Sigma. Oversee the preparation of quantitative operational analysis of data, volumes and costs and draft operational forecasts to assess impact of market developments on the company’s terminal and vessel operations.
