Smithfield Packaged Meats Sales is looking for a Cash Application Coordinator to join the customer accounting team. As part of the customer accounting team, the cash apps coordinator will identify, sort and post daily cash transactions and resolve issues related to customer accounts.
Core Responsibilities
Works high-volume payment applications for (lock boxes, ACH, Wires, and Remote Deposits)
Create residuals (deductions) for credits taken by customers on a payment
Calculating and completely analyzing remittance advises accurately applying for payments
Identifies overpayments and underpayments, routes appropriate information to responsible parties.
Investigate and resolve issues related to misapplied cash.
Collaborate with other departments and areas of accounts receivable to maintain customer accounts

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED required
College Degree preferred
1 to 2 years' experience in cash application preferred
Previous experience with SAP is preferred
Strong computer skills specifically Excel spreadsheets
Strong 10 key skills
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Must be both an independent thinker and a team player
Must be able to problem solve
Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment
Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment
