Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

  • Manage vendor invoices and code to the correct GL accounts/departments along with inputting into the accounting system on a daily basis
  • Perform financial calculations, such as amounts due, interest charges, balances, discounts, and sales tax
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
  • Handle all vendor inquiries, both internal and external, in a timely and professional manner
  • Process monthly reconciliation of credit card statements
  • Match invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks and distribute checks accordingly
  • Send printed checks along with payment stubs to vendors
  • Keep electronic and physical files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices

Scheduled hours are onsite Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm

Requirements:
  • 2+ years of recent Account Payable or general accounting experience
  • Associate's degree in Accounting or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Computer Proficiency – Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Familiarity with an accounting system, QuickBooks experience preferred
  • Highly detailed oriented with strong numeric aptitude
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective vendor interaction
  • Experience matching Delivery Receipts, Purchase Orders, and Invoices for payment is preferred
