The Role:
Our site in Aurora is seeking a Sr Operations Manager to join our team. This role resides in Aurora with direct operations ownership of our low volume manufacturing substrates slurries plant in Fremont, CA including 4-6 direct reports requiring typical travel up to 25%. The role also provides leadership guidance to integrate high volume substrates slurries manufacturing into the existing Aurora plant and supports global substrates slurries business activities as required.
This role directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations and, at higher levels, controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor. Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
What You’ll Do:
The Sr Operations Manager will provide leadership across all operations activities in Fremont, CA (Production, Planning, Shipping/ Receiving, Warehousing, Maintenance, Engineering, and other support groups). The Sr Operations Manager role will have approximately an equal split of Operations Management, and Technical/Business responsibilities. The person will develop and achieve aggressive operational goals and objectives consistent with the business strategy with focus on EHS, productivity, quality, and supporting integration of new products/processes. The role will assist the Site Production Director in general oversight of all plant business activities and lead key technical projects and initiatives.
