Job Description
Budget Analyst (Champaign, IL): Evaluate budget proposals and funding requests from managers from the Chemistry, Quality Control, Accounting, Human Resources, and Marketing departments. Collaborate with project managers to develop a budget. Conduct cost-benefit and other types of analyses to determine value. Submit budget recommendations for approval or rejection of funding requests. Determine whether budget proposals are in compliance with regulations. Collaborate with managers to develop a final consolidated organizational budget that is in agreement with management and in compliance. Monitor spending to ensure it remains within budget and identify trends in spending. Prepare regular and special budget reports. Suggest improvements to increase profits, such as spending cuts. Estimate and forecast future financial needs. Requirements include Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field and proficiency in MS Suite, such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
