How you will contribute:
Advising clients on enhancing tax opportunities and managing risk associated with mergers and acquisitions
Analyzing tax risks of target companies using tax returns, accounting information, and interviews with management
Preparing and analyzing reports correlating tax diligence and tax structuring findings with client valuations
Identifying issues affecting purchase price, deal structure, or deal termination
Reading and advising clients with respect to purchasing agreements
Working closely with executives, investment bankers, private equity and corporate clients, attorneys, or other stakeholders
Working alongside other Forvis Mazars team members to exceed client expectations

We are looking for people who have Forward Vision and:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to effectively supervise and coach team members
Willingness and ability to travel

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college/university
CPA license or admission to state bar required
JD or master's degree in taxation preferred
A minimum of five (5) years of experience in corporate or partnership tax or transaction tax (M&A tax), including at least two (2) years of tax due diligence, from a large public accounting or consulting firm
Strong current knowledge of U.S. federal income tax, mergers, and acquisitions, and transaction services
Current knowledge of state and local taxes is a plus
Recent experience with corporate and pass-through tax concepts
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, primarily Excel, and PowerPoint

Pursuant to Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range displayed is for the Colorado market. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Total compensation and benefits consist of salary, group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave. FORVIS reserves the right to make changes to the salary range based on business needs.

CO Maximum Salary (USD)
