Position Overview: Medical Coder III
We are currently seeking a Lead Coder-Professional Billing Support for our MG - Revenue Cycle Admin department
Location: 4901 Searle Parkwayin Skokie, IL.
Full-time position and is benefits eligible.
Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 am-3:30 pm.
Hybrid/Remote schedule offered.

Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
Acts as "go to" for coding questions from the coding team.
Lead coder is proficient in the claim error process and acts as liaison interdepartmentally.
Assists Manager with various tasks as needed, overseeing coding work assignments and coordination of resource staff coding assignments.
Assists Manager with single path/concurrent coding service lines to follow Hospital Billing rules.
Reports to coding manger trends in errors, denials, or other issues
Performs second level coding reviews.
Manages special projects as assigned by Manager.
Communicates coding changes and updates with physicians based on department standards
Works charge review work queues with the purpose of correcting cording errors, reviewing documentation and applying coding guidelines to ensure the accurate and timely filling of charges
Maintain productivity based on department standards
Consistently utilize coding and billing resources and reference tools

Qualifications:
Our ideal candidate will have:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Must have CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-A, CCA, or RHIT certificate
Must have knowledge of medical terminology, CPT and ICD 10 coding principles and practices
5 years of professional coding and billing experience preferred
Must be able to analyze and interpret medical documents, and apply coding and/or local policy guidelines and regulations
