POSITION SUMMARY
As Pricing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of pricing strategies as part of the front-end processes related to corrugated packaging products. This includes integrating input from Sales, cost data, production, industry and market data, and benchmarks to price projects for profitable revenue growth and positive margins. Additionally, this role manages the front-end process in partnership with the Commercialization function and provides strong leadership to guide and motivate a team working to onboard new projects in support of business objectives.

This position reports to the General Manager and is located at our facility in Rock Island, Illinois.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitors market trends, raw material costs, manufacturing costs, competitor pricing, and products / offerings, and leverages data to present strategic pricing recommendations on a regular cadence.
Develops, maintains, and utilizes pricing tools and models to account for market trends and manufacturing costs; collaborate with sales, operations, finance, and site leadership in the development and implementation of competitive pricing strategies.
Support timely execution of price increases or decreases across all products tied to paper price changes, ensuring market competitiveness and compliance with customer contracts, where applicable.
Partner with sales, operations, site and region leadership to proactively evaluate customer pricing and contracts, present pricing analysis findings and recommended pricing changes to teams.
Prepare and deliver cost estimates and pricing for projects, orders, or Request for Proposal (RFP) events.
In partnership with the General Manager and Sales Director for the region, proactively educates Sales team on market trends, pricing, costs, and workflow processes, ensuring growth in understanding.
Partners with operations to determine optimal product routing, leverages analysis of manufacturing costs and capabilities and integrates into pricing structure.
Leads, mentors, and develops a team of Commercialization Partners, ensuring alignment with business goals, professional growth, and high-performance standards.
Leads and / or participates in strategic site and region projects, as requested.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, mathematics, economics, or accounting and 5+ years of pricing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2+ years' experience leading professional team members.
Experience with analyzing and reporting pricing data to identify issues or opportunities, driving improvement, and finding solutions.
Experience identifying operational opportunities and recommending / implementing strategies to improve profitability.
Demonstrated experience with interpreting financial statements and leveraging information to impact cost drivers.
Experience in corrugated and / or paper industry.
Experience with ERP systems.
Advanced experience with Microsoft Office suite.
Demonstrated problem-solving, detail orientation, organization, communication, and independent work experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Previous corrugated, paper, or related industry experience.
Experience leading a team of individual contributors.
Lean and/or Operational Excellence experience, training, or certification.
